As you read this know that you are fulfilling prophecy. For with each word I am glorifying God for the awesome things that He has done. For a year and a half I battled for my life, struggling with an illness that for many months had no name. In two months what started as minor discomfort, escalated into a full-blown attack that left medical staff baffled. In just five months I lost 96lbs, had two surgeries, numerous biopsies, tests including a bone marrow harvesting. This disease Sarcoidosis, threatened multiple organs including my lungs and eyes. Many names were called: Stroke, Bell Palsy, Cancer, Glaucoma, and Blindness, but the Lord triumphed gloriously over them all! It was said from the lips of man; doctors, nurses, and family that death was certain, but God said not so. Thanks be to God for the things He has done. He has not only allowed me to live, and to survive; He has allowed me to thrive, for this test has enabled me to be a greater servant. During my darkest days, the Lord ministered to me and showed me more about Himself than I've ever known.
Through this ugly, dark, and at times lonely experience, the Lord has birthed a beautiful new beginning "Beauty For Ashes". Over the years God has given preludes as to what is to become of my life. I had not an inkling of what the score could hold. My prayer is that at the end of it all the symphony gives God pleasure and glory. It is thus my destiny to speak, breathe, and live Restoration so that others can attain the abundant life as well, no matter what season they find themselves in.
